A SKIPTON driver has been ordered to pay £200 after admitting speeding along the A65 near Coniston Cold.
Richard Judge, 39, of Regent Crescent, appeared before Harrogate magistrates on August 10 for sentencing after he had pleaded guilty to exceeding the 60mph limit in a Ford Focus on August 31 last year. The clocked speed was not given.
Judge was fined £76 and had three points added to his driving licence.
He was also ordered to pay costs of £90 and a surcharge of £34.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into consideration when imposing the sentence.
