AWB Charlesworth Solicitors has partnered with the BPP University Law School to launch the Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship Scheme a six-year programme which offers an alternative route into the legal profession.
It provides an opportunity for apprentices to learn and study simultaneously gaining knowledge and experience to become a qualified solicitor. Associate directors, Chris Cooper and Sadia Ali, will be leading the apprenticeship programme.
Emma Davies, from Apperley Bridge, commences her apprenticeship in September will be AWB Charlesworth’s first apprentice to start the scheme. She said: “The Solicitor Apprenticeship Scheme appealed to me because it would allow me to gain hands on experience in the legal field whilst earning a wage. University did not offer me this pathway”.
Sadia Ali aid: “AWB Charlesworth is a progressive, forward-thinking firm. As the firm continues to go from strength to strength, it is an exciting time for Emma to join and we are looking forward to Emma commencing her apprenticeship at the firm”.
Chris Cooper added: “At AWB Charlesworth we are constantly looking at ways we can develop the firm as well as support the local communities in which our offices are based. We are looking forward to the future of the firm and giving young people in the local community an alternative route into the legal profession.”
