A TREE was set on fire in Threshfield last night after a direct lightning strike during a storm.
The tree, which looks like an ash, burned for some time as fire tore through the trunk which caused the boughs to collapse later.
The pictures have been sent to us by Rebecca Harrison showing the tree on fire last night and the damage this morning.
