A SETTLE woman has been fined and disqualified from driving after admitting drug-driving.
Melissa Thorp, 48, of Mill Close, appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court on September 28 where she pleaded guilty to driving in Wakefield Road, Gildersome, on April 20 this year while over the specified limit for controlled drugs namely cannabis, cocaine and the cocaine metabolite, benzoylecgonine.
She was fined £200 and handed an 18-month driving ban for driving with 15 microgrammes of cocaine per litre of blood in her system. The specified limit is 10 microgrammes.
No separate penalty was given for being over the prescribed limit for cannabis (7 microgrammes) the limit is 2, and benzoylecgonine (188 microgrammes) the limit is 50.
Guilty pleas were taken into consideration when sentenced.
She was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £34 and costs of £85.
