OVER the summer Voices of Craven held two very successful concerts, both full houses. The first was held on June 4 in celebration of the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend at the newly refurbished Skipton Town Hall.

The second concert was held at St.Alkelda’s Church, in Giggleswick and was another resounding success.

Following these highly successful concerts the choir has decided to hold three Christmas concerts which will comprise everyone’s favourite Christmas music.

The first of the concerts, Carols by Candlelight, will be held at the Coniston Hotel on December 7. Tickets at £39.95, including a drink and a two course dinner, are available from the hotel.

The second will be ‘A Christmas Cracker’, being held on December 14 at 7-30pm when Giggleswick and Settle Brass Band and Voices of Craven will come together to bring you a selection of your favourite musical Christmas crackers.

The concert is to be held at Victoria Hall (said to be the oldest music hall in the world) and will again cover a broad spectrum of favourite Christmas music along with community singing towards the end. The concert will have cabaret seating downstairs and if you fancy a drink a licensed bar is available.

Organisers are promising this will be a fantastic night, not to be missed. Tickets at £13.50 are available online or from the box office.

The last concert will be ‘A Christmas Cracker’ performed by The Voices of Craven and will be held on December 21 at 7pm in Gargrave Village Hall. People can come along and sing some of their favourite carols, wear party hats and Christmas jumpers and prepare to ring in Christmas with an evening of festive fun. There will be mulled wine, mince pies and a raffle.

Tickets available from The Dalesman Tea Room, Gargrave Library or Joan Horsfield at voicesofcraven@gmail.com Princes are: adults £8 and under 16s £4.

The choir is looking forward to seeing you at these concerts and promises the audience a great night out which will be fun for all the family.
