A MAN is his 30s suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital after an incident at Alum Pot, near Selside, yesterday, December 1.
A large-scale emergency call-out took place after reports of someone injured underground.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said they had been contacted at 1.20pm.
Also in attendance was the Cave Rescue Organisation, police, fire and ambulance and military services were in attendance.
