THE grand opening of Craven Arts House in a newly restored and adapted building in Otley Street, Skipton, takes place this weekend.
Following a private opening on Thursday for invited guests and funders of the project, which include Arts Council England and the Government's Heritage Action Zone (HAZ) the centre will be open to all on Friday (December 9) and throughout the weekend.
The centre will be a home for artists and creatives across Craven and will feature a range of exhibitions. Formerly a youth and community centre, the arts house has been a long term ambition of Craven Arts, which has worked with Craven District Council to get the project to fruition.
Craven Arts House will be open on Friday from 4pm to 7pm. Entry to the Christmas exhibition will be from 10am to 4pm on Friday; on Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and on Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
