FOR those who missed it, here is a picture of the Green Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) as it passed over Craven recently.
It was taken on Esp Lane, Barnoldswick, by Jack Parsons, a member of the Earby Astronomical Society, and Earby and District Camera Club.
Jack explains: "It was taken on the night of February 13; and is a single one minute exposure using a Canon EOS Ra with a 450mm f5.3 Astrograph, ISO 1600, on an equatorial mount."
The bright star also in the picture is Aldebaran the main star in Taurus.
It will be another 52,600 years before the comet is back - just what will Barnoldswick and Skipton look like then asks Jack.
