AN update on the progress of the campaign to reopen the Skipton to Colne railway line will be given at a meeting in Colne next month.

The annual general meeting of the Skipton East Lancashire Rail Action Partnership (SELRAP) will see members of the campaign group given an update on what they say will help increase connectivity across Northern England and regenerate communities.

The meeting is due to take place at 7pm on Monday, March 13 at the Lesser Municipal Hall (Muni) Colne Municipal Hall, Colne.

SELRAP was started in 2001 with the intention of re-opening the 12 mile stretch of line from Skipton to Colne. It has grown to be one of the most influential rail campaigning groups in the country with more than 500 individual members and affiliates For more details, visit www.selrap.org.uk
