THE regular, first Saturday of the month, is Bacon Butties Day at Holy Ascension Church in Settle. And on Saturday, March 2, church goers enjoyed the added attraction of live music with their bacon butties from Sally-Anne and Gabriella, The Passerini- Brown Duo.
A group of women from Chorley called in to the church for refreshments before heading off to Carlisle on the Settle - Carlisle railway. A church spokesperson said: “They really 'got into the groove', singing along and even showing us some sedate waltzes. We are hoping that The Passerini Brown Duo will be back on Saturday May 6 to lead some patriotic singing and flag waving for our live streaming of the Coronation of King Charles III. And there'll be more bacon butties too.”
The Passerini-Brown Duo musicians perform contemporary and classical music for weddings and other events.
