MILL Bridge Gallery in Skipton, now in its 12th year, will be re-launching over the Easter weekend, with new artwork throughout the gallery and in the sculpture garden.

From now on, the gallery will be artist led and managed, making it a great place to visit to find out about different artists’ ways of creating as well as to view inspiring artwork.

It will be exhibiting a wide range of new artwork by 18 gallery artists, including six who have never shown at the gallery before. Artwork includes paintings in a variety of mediums: prints, textile and felted artwork, plus a new range of sculpture in bronze, ceramics, wood, and glass, including stained glass panels.

Rachel Errington will be the gallery’s first 'artist in residence'. For three months she will be painting in the upstairs space, welcoming visitors and showing her techniques and works in progress. She will also be running workshops.

A four week intuitive painting workshop will run on Wednesday mornings from mid-April. The sessions will encourage experimentation with colour, mark making, abstraction, and composition. No painting experience is needed and all materials will be provided.

Email the gallery for start date, price and further details: contact@millbridgegallery.co.uk; to find out more about the artists, visit https://www.millbridgegallery.co.uk/artists. A private view of the new artwork will take place on Friday, April 7, from 2pm to 7pm. Contact the gallery if you want to attend. The gallery will be open on Saturday, April 8 and Sunday, April 9 from 11am to 4pm. Regular opening times are Thursday to Saturday, from 11am to 4pm.
