A LONG-established Skipton pub has been put on the market.
Owners, Thwaites, closed The Craven, in Craven Street, on March 6 and it is being offered for sale freehold with vacant possession by Atkinson Associates for £285,000.
The property is Grade II Listed and sits within the Skipton Conservation Area.
A spokesperson from Daniel Thwaites commented: “After reviewing our property portfolio to identify new areas of opportunity and investment, we have subsequently decided to explore our options regarding The Craven. We’d like to thank the team, customers and the local community that have supported the pub over the years. We hope to secure a successful future for the site under new ownership.”
The Craven reopened in August 2021 after several months boarded up.
The Craven team's last Facebook message on the day it closed read: "Its been a very long day, a sad day especially to see The Craven boarded up. We're sorry we couldn't carry on but onwards and upwards. Our thanks again to all our customers and a special thanks to Alan for doing the very enjoyable music quizzes and Ryan and Jack for the brilliant karaoke every week. Thanks also to the many bands who've played for us over the last few months. We've thoroughly enjoyed it."
