A GLUSBURN man has triumphed at a show in Worcestershire with his restored Massey Ferguson 135 tractor.
Dave Hammond was at the Three Counties showground in Malvern last month where restored and unrestored tractors from all over the UK and Ireland were exhibited.
Mr Hammond said: "There was a variety of machinery on show from Massey Fergusons to Fords, Nuffield’s, David Browns, and many more all competing for the coveted awards for Best Restored & Unrestored categories. After last year when I narrowly missed out, I was determined to ensure everything was right for this one. I acquired all new original gauges, fuel filters and a rare original light switch over the winter period. I also had some additional paintwork corrected to a couplle of parts that I wasn’t quite happy with."
On the Sunday morning he was thrilled to find out he had won first prize in the 1965 to 1975 restored section.
