THESE wonderful pictures of this very handsome peacock were taken at a farm in Salterforth by Peter Arnold.
Peacocks, also called peafowl, belong to the pheasant family, with the two most well known, the blue, or Indian, peacock, of India and Sri Lanka, like this one; and the green, or Japanese peacock, found from Myanmar to Java.
I think we can agree, this one is very fine indeed.
