FOR Civic Day on Saturday 17 June Skipton Town Hall's council chamber will be open from 10am to 3pm with an exhibition by Skipton Civic Society about Skipton Town Council and the town hall and details of the civic society's new town centre 'Green Trail' which is being sponsored by North Yorkshire Council.
In the chamber visitors can also see the famous Mouseman furniture plus gifts presented to the people of Skipton and can try out the mayor's chair.
Civic Day is a civic pride event one day each year for people across the country to say ‘I care about where I live’.
