A FOURTH charity steak night organised by Coniston Cold’s Michael Winchester at The Curious Fox Restaurant in Skipton’s Chapel Hill raised £2,110 in total for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, Oxenhope, bettering the £1,500 charity kitty at the previous event in 2021 and not far short of £5,000 in total across all four events.

Steaks were kindly donated by Dunbia Meats, Sawley, with Barnoldswick-based merchant Robert Wellock & Son chipping in with potatoes and the Curious Fox, run by Lee Sharville and Janette Maud, a meal for two, which netted £200 when auctioned off alongside surplus steaks, which themselves realised £340.

Conducting the charity auction was Kyle Hawksworth, an auctioneer at Skipton Auction Mart, where Michael continues to serve on the CCM board of directors.

He thanked all donors and over 60 attendees, predominantly members of the local agricultural community, for their wholehearted support and overwhelming generosity.

Andrew Wood, Community Fundraising Manager, Manorlands Hospice, said: "I would like to say a big thank you to Michael and to all who contributed to his fourth steak night in support of Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice. “This incredibly successful event is yet another reason why we are so proud of our relationship with the local farming community and CCM. This generous donation and continued support will help us provide our expert care both at the hospice and out in the community."
