I DON'T think anyone could ever tire of seeing Flying Scotsman in full steam, especially when travelling along the Settle-Carlisle line.
The much loved loco, in its unmistakable Brunswick Green livery, had vast numbers of people out yesterday morning (Sunday) to catch a glimpse as it made its way up the line to Carlisle and back to York.
The engine left York pulling a vast number of carriages - 12 at the last count according to the video recorded by @railcamlive and posted on Twitter.
One of the photographers in the right place at the right time was Philip Winstanley who captured the engine on camera as it travelled over the viaduct at Bank Newton, watched by a herd of young cattle.
Social media posts have also shown Flying Scotsman steaming at speed through Settle Station, delighting onlookers as the whistle was blown on the approach.
