POLICE are repeating a warning to motorists to avoid the A59 at Skibeden, on the outskirts of Skipton, following a serious traffic collision earlier today (Thursday).
The North Yorkshire Police Traffic Bureau said at 10.12am: "The roads surrounding the area around the roundabout of the A59 and A65 are closed and are likely to be so for some time whilst we work at the scene. We would advise you to avoid the area and find an alternative route.
"Thank-you for your patience."
