CRAFTERS will be given a special warm welcome to Skipton yarn shop Purl & Jane By Jane Ellison which in September will be part of a county-wide 'Yarn Trail'.

Held for the first time last year, the North Yorkshire Yarn Trail will see a dozen yarn shops getting involved from Sunday, September 9 to Sunday, September 24.

There will be lots of fun things to do along the trail including prizes, special offers and limited-edition hand-dyed yarns to be found.

A spokesperson said: "Pick up a map and a special yarn passport from one of the participating yarn shops and visit as many of the 12 stores on the map as you can. For every shop visited you will get your passport stamped and by dropping off your passport at the last shop you visit, you will be entered into a grand prize draw.

"Passports do not have to be full to be handed in, so make sure you drop yours off before leaving your last shop."

There will be lots going on in each shop, including raffles, door prizes, special offers, knit and natter sessions.

Purl &Jane By Jane Ellison, Mount Pleasant, off Skipton High Street, specialises in natural fibres and simple, easy to knit pattern.
