IT was perfect weather for exploring the flora and fauna around Langcliffe during this year's Eco Explorer camp over two days at Lower Winskill Farm recently.
The gathering had been organised by Churches Together in Settle and District and 18 different families went along on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 15 and 16 August.
The team setting up the camp, including a camping trailer with awning. Over 60 guests enjoyed family games, a nature walk, bug investigations, a geology workshop, art in the field with painting and weaving, plus face painting and parachute games. A picnic was enjoyed outside in the sunshine each day.
Thanks from the organisers were expressed to farmer Tom Lord, Settle Rotary for a generous donation, Drake and Macefield for their ham, Singing Kettle for trays of chocolate rocky road and millionaires shortbread, and Booths supermarket for a food donation. It was a successful event, enjoyed by all.
