A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after an incident on the railway line in Skipton yesterday, Tuesday, September 5.
British Transport Police officers, along with North Yorkshire Police, the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, mountain rescue and the fire service, were called to the line near Firth Street and Upper Sackville Street, Skipton, at 2.18pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Paramedics also attended and a woman was taken to hospital where she is receiving treatment for injuries which are believed to be life-changing. The incident is not being treated as suspicious."
No further information has been released at this time.
