POLICE have issued reports of rural crimes in the Dales over the last 24 hours.
The first was in the early hours of today (Tuesday) at approximately 2.30am, a red Honda quad has been stolen from the Linton area. The incident number is NYP-19092023-0051 if anyone has any information.
In addition, four bicycles have been taken from Thorne and Cracoe last night (Monday).
Three out of the four bicycles have been described as: Black and gold specialist mountain bike; orange/ red trek bike; black specialist Rockhopper bike.
Anyone with any information regarding the above occurrences, please call 101 and quote the relevant reference number - Thorpe ref- NYP-19092023-062 and Cracoe ref- NYP-19092923-068
A spokesman for the police added: "Rural crime is rising in our area. Please take extra security measures now before it is too late. Make a note of all serial numbers on your bikes, therefore we have a way of identifying them."
