TRIBUTES have been paid to a friendly, energetic, nurse and much-loved mum, treasured wife, nanny and friend, from Earby who died recently.

Sarah Bullock joined Airedale Hospital as a nurse in 2010 and latterly worked as a staff nurse at Castleberg Hospital in Giggleswick until her untimely death in July this year. Colleagues at Castleberg and across Airedale NHS Foundation Trust have paid tribute to Sarah, describing her as strong, selfless, determined, an exceptional nurse, with a fantastic sense of humour.

Alongside her dedication to her career, Sarah worked tirelessly raising money for charities, walking the Three Peaks, and taking part in marathons or other sporting events.

Tracey Mothersdale, team leader at Castleberg and who worked closely with Sarah, said: “Sarah was the life and soul of the team. She never got stressed, she took everything in her stride.

“She also brought us together as a team and brought out the best in everyone. Sarah was a keen walker and she organised us to go on walks together, which was brilliant for team morale. We did the Settle Loop one year, which was great, we had a real laugh. In April she completed Ben Nevis with some of our Castleberg team, raising money for Candlelighters.

“She is very sadly missed by us all but we have very fond memories of her and she will always stay in our hearts”.
