DIFFERENT aspects of North Craven will be on show at an exhibition of photographs at The Museum of North Craven Life at The Folly, Settle from Saturday (October 7) to early next year.

The exhibition will feature more than 50 pictures taken by members of the Settle Photographic Group, including landscapes, buildings, outdoor activities, farming, and wildlife.

Harry Pinkerton, Chair of Settle Photographic Group, said: “Members of the group were asked to find images which, for them, captured different aspects of North Craven. We are pleased to have the opportunity to put on this exhibition which will run for three months at one of the area's most important venues. We hope it will help shine a much-deserved spotlight on the people and landscapes of North Craven, one of the most beautiful and fascinating parts of the Dales.”

There will also be about 80 additional images of North Craven displayed on a digital viewer throughout the exhibition.

Caitlin Greenwood, heritage development officer, Museum of North Craven Life, added: “We are delighted to be working with Settle Photographic Group on this exhibition. They are widely respected and known as one of the most experienced photographic groups in the area so we are anticipating a really captivating portrayal of our area.”

Focus on North Craven is at The Museum of North Craven Life, The Folly, Victoria Street, Settle, from Saturday October 7 to Wednesday January 3. Open Tuesday to Saturday 11am to 4pm, closed on Sundays and Mondays (except Bank Holidays).
