A NORTH Craven homeopathic business which has dedicated itself to providing holistic health to both animals and humans far and wide, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a special offer for customers and clients.

Julie Dodgson, started down the homeopathy route by chance after becoming seriously ill in 1995 and after being told that conventional medicine could no longer help.

As a wife to a busy farmer, a mother to four children and working as a nursery nurse, Julie needed options.

"I was immobile for 12 months. I went down all conventional routes for my health issues which proved ineffective," she explained.

Hope, and a cure, was on the horizon, however, and Julie found them through a friend who introduced her to homeopathy.

She added: "With the help of a homeopath I slowly got my health back on track over two years.

"It was at this point in my life my interest was in homeopathy and its tremendous benefits. I was ready for a whole new chapter. I went on to train in homeopathy, bio-resonance, flower essences and nutritional healing."

She started the Crossgates Homeopathy business up at their Crossgates Farm, in Bank Newton, in 1998 using the homeopathic remedies on their farm animals. The business progressed and she combined homeopathy and bio-resonance together for human treatment as well as animals. Her reputation grew as well as her passion for holistic health, enabling her to get to the root of complex health problems which are often difficult to diagnose and treat in modern medicine.

"With continued success, a larger premises was needed and we ventured up to Barrell Sykes, in Settle. This is where the team grew and we developed health and animal departments, along with my daughter Sally's business, Crossgates Hair & Beauty.

Julie added: "Then, seven years ago, we took a big step and myself and Sally bought a new premises which was more central - The Barn, in North Street, Gargrave. Both of our businesses worked well together and clients, customers and patients can benefit from each side.
