BELLWAY Homes is on the look-out for a local hero to open new show homes at its Clifford Gardens development in Skipton, off Carleton Road.
The ribbon cutting takes place on Saturday, October 14. The Yorkshire division of the national homebuilder says that it wanted to buck the trend of local dignitaries and minor celebrities being invited to cut ribbons and officially open new buildings; and instead celebrate the achievements of a true local hero.
Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said: “Our aim when we develop anywhere isn’t just to build homes, it’s to build new communities – and in any community there are local heroes who really do deserve recognition.”
“Whether it’s a volunteer who goes way above and beyond; a junior sports coach; a fundraiser; or even a wonderful parent, carer or family member; there will be a host of local heroes in and around Skipton and we want people to get in touch and nominate their heroes.”
To nominate a local hero, Bellway Homes is asking people to e-mail bellway@sourcemc.co.uk with a quick explanation as to why their nomination deserves to be celebrated. Nominations need to sent in by Monday, October 9 at 12-noon. Bellway will contact the chosen local hero on Wednesday, October 11.
“We really will roll the red carpet out to celebrate the achievements of the chosen local hero,” added Melanie. “We’ll arrange for a car to collect them and their guest on the morning of the opening, there’ll be a ribbon to cut, champagne to sip and a photographer on hand to capture the whole event.”
Being built on a 16.5-acre site off Skipton’s Carleton Road, Clifford Gardens features a strong mix of different home types and sizes, including two, three, four and five-bedroom homes. Prices currently range from £279,995 for a three-bed semi-detached Bempton to £544,995 for four-bed detached Hambleton.
