THE advertising sign above the former Thomas the Baker shop, in Skipton High Street has been taken down this week with news the premises has been sold.
However, at the moment we do not know what the shop will be as vendor Central Retail said a new owner/occupier was going to take over, but was unable to say who.
It is good news for the high street that an empty premises is going to be reopened. It will be exciting to found out what it is going to be.
Thomas the Baker closed in April after 10 years in Skipton. It blamed difficulties in finding staff as the decision to close.
