THE Saturday DalesBus 59 between Skipton and Harrogate will run a temporary revised route and timetable from this weekend due to the closure of the A59 road at Kex Gill for £550,000 resurfacing work.
The road will be closed for five weeks while the work is carried out between Church Hill and Pace Gate ready for the opening of the new road in 2025.
Buses will run via Ilkley and Otley, and will not call at Bolton Bridge or Blubberhouses. They will depart from Skipton Bus Station at 11.00 and 17.00 and from Harrogate Bus Station at 09.30 and 15.30, stopping only at Skipton Bus Station, Skipton High Street , The Bailey, Embsay Road Junction, Overdale, Chelker Reservoir, Ilkley Skipton Road, Otley Grove Hill Park and Harrogate Bus Station.
The usual route and timetable will resume when the roadworks have finished, which is expected to be on November 12. Latest updates will be available online at www.dalesbus.org
