SKIPTON Building Society will temporarily close its branch at 59 High Street, Skipton, to to embark on a 16-week refurbishment project and will move into the former HSBC building next door while work goes on.
The refurbishment will also see the installation of a new counter, two semi-private pods and a private booth for appointments with Skipton Link, the Society’s video appointment service.
Andrew Bottomley, CEO of Money, said: “We’ve been on Skipton’s High Street for over 170 years and founded in this town. It’s our home and we remain fully committed to ensuring that local people have access to our flagship branch.
“What’s really important to us is during this extensive renovation our customers don’t go without the face-to-face experience that they value so much. So in addition to renovating the branch, we are temporarily moving the team next door to a disused building so that they continue helping local people with their financial needs.”
The Skipton branch will close its doors at 12pm on Saturday, October 28, and business will resume at the HSBC building from 9:30am on Monday, October 30, working to usual opening hours. More information on the branch opening hours can be found on the website.
