A DALES pub which was put on the market in early summer has been reduced in price for a second time.
The White Lion, at Cray, near Buckden, in Upper Wharfedale, is being offered for sale by agents Christie & Co. It has been fully renovated by the present owner who has been in place for nearly 10 years.
It first went on the market in May for £699,950 + VAT but in September the price was reduced by £100,000 after no buyer came forward.
This week it has again been reduced to £535,000 plus VAT with a freehold tenure.
There is currently a tenant in place but they are due to vacate the premises before the end of the year.
The premises offers a fully restored former drovers inn with original beams, open log fire and stone flagged floors. There is a generous sized bar and seating area with original open fireplace, currently with approximately 25 covers, but with the potential for more. Plus a snug/small dining room off to one side with log burning stove. A large and spacious commercial kitchen with walk in fridge.
The nine immaculately presented bedrooms are currently operated as a mixture of king sized rooms, double rooms and a twin room. All have en-suite shower facilities.
There is a self-contained one bedroomed flat on the ground floor with small kitchen, living room and bathroom with WC.
The Rateable Value as of April 1, 2023 is £16,600. Confirmation of actual business rates payable should be obtained from the local authority.
