SETTLE'S Holy Ascension Church welcomed children from the town's primary school last week for its well attended harvest festival - and in the evening there was dancing in the aisles as the church hosted a performance from a Celtic folk band.
The parish church was filled with the bustle of pupils, teachers and families for the harvest festival on Friday afternoon, with Settle Primary School's collective worship team excelling with members narrating and leading the service.
In the evening, the church was once again full when it hosted the award winning Celtic folk band Imar.
Following a great effort from sound and lighting technicians, the performance was the first collaboration between the church and Settle Victoria Hall.
A church spokesperson said: "The concert was a sell out with a very appreciative audience. The musicians certainly had the rafters ringing and encouraged dancing in the aisles."
