SKIPTON solicitor AWB Charlesworth has announced the appointment of Katie Miller as its latest trainee.
Katie is based in the commercial property department, supporting businesses and commercial landlords on a wide range of property transactions.
She went to university in 2005, and then volunteered at Kirklees Law Centre. This was followed by a legal secretary job, and a self-funded Legal Practice Course which led to legal assistant and paralegal work. Katie started at AWB Charlesworth in early 2023, having worked in the firm’s commercial property team previously and is pleased to be taking the next step towards qualification as a solicitor.
Felicity Green, practice manager said: “We are always exploring ways to help our staff progress their careers and having considered the full range of routes to qualification as a solicitor with Katie, we are delighted to see her commence her training contract this week.”
James Dunn, head of commercial property said “We’re proud and pleased that Katie is on her way to becoming a solicitor. She has worked hard to achieve both the academic qualifications and the practical experience in a range of legal departments, and we know she will take the training contract in her stride.”
