EMBSAY youngster Luke Mortimer triumphed in his epic walk up Embsay Crag at the weekend and raised over £21,000 to date for charities LimbPower and Children in Need.
Luke, 10, who lost his limbs to septicaemia has been helped by the two charities and wanted to raise money for them as a thank you. He managed the climb up the rugged 656ft crag from Craven Sailing Club with help from family and friends.
Dad Adam said: "Luke did really well going up and down in just over two hours 15 minutes. No moaning or complaining. We would like to thank everyone that supported Luke and a massive thanks to all those who turned up to walk with him, especially those who travelled from Sheffield and Manchester."
A cake sale at the sailing club raised £660.
Luke spent many months in Sheffield Children's Hospital after contracting meningitis in 2019.
