PEOPLE affected by Parkinson’s are invited to the Val Rowley Lecture - a free information event held at Skipton Town Hall on Thursday, November 16.

Parkinson’s UK Chief Executive, Caroline Rassell will be the speaker at the lecture, providing attendees with an update on the charity’s work and latest developments, followed by a question and answer session.

Val Rowley was instrumental in setting up what is now the Skipton and District Parkinson’s support group in 1993 and was a dedicated supporter throughout her life. Following her death in 2021, the support group created an annual lecture in her memory.

Admission is free and will give people living with Parkinson’s and their loved ones a chance to learn more about Parkinson’s UK’s research, chat with others affected by the condition and discover more about local support and activities. Free refreshments will be available.

It will take place in the concert hall at 2pm. No need to book in advance. To find out more, visit: www.parkinsons.org.uk/information-and-support
