DEDICATED supporters of Manorlands Hospice have raised £3,400 from a coffee morning and tombola.

Maralyne Cadman, Kate Clegg, and Ann Adams held the events at Hellifield Village Hall and were taken aback by the support they received.

Maralyne said: “We were inspired to fundraise for Sue Ryder Manorlands because we have had family members cared for at the hospice and we wanted to give something back. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of the people and businesses of Hellifield and surrounding towns, villages and beyond. We would like to say a huge thank you to them all.

"It was hard work, but the end result was more than worth the effort. I think we can safely say we are proud of ourselves!

"Hellifield has a great community spirit, we have lots of residents that are always willing to give their time to support local events."

Adam Brunskill, community fundraiser at Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, said: “We want to say a huge thank you to Maralyne, Kate and Ann for their hard work and incredible success from their fundraising events.

“Support from dedicated fundraisers like these means we can continue to provide care for people at the hardest times of their lives.”
