BRADLEYS Both Parish Council is planning a consultation event with residents after a developer came forward with housing proposals for the village.

The village's Neighbourhood Development Plan, which was adopted earlier this year following a referendum of residents, includes design and other requirements for a housing site on Skipton Road - a site allocated in the Craven Local Plan for 24 homes.

A spokesperson for Bradleys Both Parish Council said: "A developer, RN Wooler, assisted by Rural Solutions, has recently approached the parish council with preliminary proposals for the development of the site. The NDP requires RN Wooler to engage with the parish council and the wider community in Bradley over their proposals before making a formal planning application.

"The parish council is keen to ensure that the plan for the development of the Skipton Road site meets the policy of our Neighbourhood Development Plan and evolves with the benefit of input from both the parish council and the wider community. The parish council hopes to make a further announcement about the consultation process shortly."

In the Craven Local Plan, development principles of housing at the site include the retention of the boundary walls.
