LONG-standing Kashmiri restaurant, Aagrah, has announced it is closing one of its restaurants next weekend.

The premises, in Coach Street, Skipton, has been advertised to let for several months but now a notice has been placed in the window to say it is shutting down.

It reads: "Dear customers, Aagrah Skipton will be closing on January 6, 2024.

"We would like to thank our valued customers for their loyal support over the years. It has been very much appreciated and we will miss you all.

"May we take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy New year?

"Thank you once again,

"Mr Rahman and the team."

The eatery's demise joins a list of recent distressing closure news for the town's shoppers which includes Keelham Farm Shop, Thomas the Baker, Chevin Cycles and Dawson's, in Jerry Croft.
