SKIPTON'S Mr Sport, Roger Ingham, was called upon to cut the ribbon on an open day at independent business, Skipton Pharmacy.
The pharmacy, formerly Lloyds Pharmacy, has just the one branch - in Caroline Square, Skipton, and held an open day to welcome old and new customers. A spokesperson for the pharmacy said: "Customers, old and new, attended the opening where we laid on a spread of food and drinks.
"We also held a charity raffle, which raised £90 for Cancer Research."
The spokesperson added: "Our mission is to become a service-based pharmacy and offer all NHS and private services where possible. We also have a free delivery service for all patients, within a 10-mile radius."
Skipton Pharmacy took over the former Lloyds Pharmacy in September.
