A SONGWRITER and singer who spent two years on stage playing the lead in Les Misérables is heading to Settle Victoria Hall later this month when he will be performing with Ozzy Osbourne's keyboard player.

Wilson and Wakeman features Damian Wilson, a songwriter and vocalist known for his exploration into different genres and one of the most versatile singers in rock, and Adam Wakeman, son of Rick Wakeman and keyboard player with Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath.

So far, Damian has released six solo albums and three as a duo with Adam. Damian balances his career as a singer-songwriter with being an energetic frontman for rock bands and guest vocalist. He has toured all over the world fronting bands such as Rick Wakeman’s ERE and Threshold.

He has performed on the most prominent stages in the UK, during his two-year tenure as the lead in Les Misérables; his live performances are characterised by his heartfelt voice and connection to the audience.

Best known as the keyboard and guitar player with Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath, Adam Wakeman has also released nine albums with father Rick Wakeman as well as releasing five solo albums.

As a classically trained pianist, his albums cross many genres and styles from classical, to rock. He co-wrote the 2010 platinum selling album Scream with Ozzy Osbourne and has also toured extensively with Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Rick Wakeman, Travis, Annie Lennox, Will Young, Slash, 10CC and many more.

Wilson and Wakeman will be at Settle Victoria Hall on Tuesday, January 23; tickets £21.50 In stark contrast, on the evening of Wednesday, January 24, Victoria Hall plays host to Giggleswick Railway Circle. The group's 'Excursions Down South' will be led by one of its members.

A spokesperson said: "Roger does not have 'off the shelf' presentations but prefers to compile a new show every time. So, expect the unexpected. His shows usually commence in the Ossett area so we will likely see images of Bradford to Bournemouth trains and the like. From then on it is anyone's guess." Tickets £5.

Giggleswick Railway Circle is a voluntary group that holds regular meetings for anyone interested in railways.
