A WARRANT has been issued for a drink-driver who failed to turn up to his sentencing hearing last week.
Piotr Galka, 40, appeared at Skipton Magistrates Court in December when he admitted driving on New Road, Ingleton on November 19 last year while having 134 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
He also admitted in court failing to stop following an accident on Back Road, Ingleton on the same day in which damage was caused to another vehicle, and on being required by a person having reasonable grounds for so requiring, failed to give his name and address.
Magistrates imposed an interim driving ban on Galka, of Rydal Road, Preston and adjourned sentencing for reports to Harrogate Magistrates Court on January 12. Magistrates issued a warrant after he failed to turn up.
