LANGCLIFFE Singers will be joined by Craven's own international soprano Bibi Heal at a 'come and sing' event in Giggleswick on Saturday, January 27.

Building on the success of last year’s event, the choir is putting on Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana - as exciting to sing as it is to hear.

Bibi, who is renowned for her expressive style and deep musical sensitivity, will sing the soprano solos.

A spokesperson for Langcliffe Singers said the choir was very much looking forward to working with Bibi for the first time. "The singers will be accompanied by a range of percussion instruments including two keyboard. It promises to be a thrilling way of chasing away the winter blues," said the spokesperson.

The event on Saturday, January 27 will take place at 7pm at the Richard Whiteley Theatre in Giggleswick. Parking is available directly outside and there is level access to the auditorium.

There are still a few places available for singers of all ages to participate in this event. There is a children’s chorus which would suit students in years five to eight; older singers, years nine to 13, can sing with the adult chorus. To find out more, email comeandsing@langcliffesingers.org.uk.
