THIEVES used an angle-grinder to get into a locked cabin and steal a quad bike from a farm on Binns Lane, Glusburn, over the weekend before making off across fields.

The suspects it it believed also took a Milwaukee radio from the cabin early on Saturday (January 20) morning before damaging a fence to make good their escape onto Green Lane.

Police say an adjacent farm was also targeted at around the same time and a DeWalt angle grinder and a packet of grinding discs were stolen from a locked barn.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have seen anything to get in touch, or with any information about the stolen red, Suzuki Ozark 250 quad bike.

A spokesperson for Craven Police said: "CCTV enquiries show two suspects in the area with a torch at around 6:20am on Saturday January 20. Did you see anything suspicious around this time? Do you live in this area and have any CCTV which may have captured something?"

Anyone with any information is asked to call North Yorkshire Police on the non-emergency 101 and quote incident number 12240 011864. Information can also be passed anonymously on Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
