STUDENTS from Craven College are helping Skipton Town Council reach a wider audience.
Media students with the help of a technician are filming some meetings of the town council.
The meetings are screened live on the council's Facebook Page and can also be viewed later by people at leisure.
The first meeting - a full council meeting in the town hall council chamber - was recorded on Thursday, January 11, and by the following day had already been viewed by 60 people - far exceeding the numbers of residents who normally attend meetings of the authority.
Those viewing the screening will have got more than they bargained for - it included a special presentation by deputy mayor, Peter Madeley, involving the playing of a clip from the memorial service of world champion boxer and activist, Muhammad Ali, who died in 2016.
It is planned just the full meetings of the council will be filmed for now.
