CONCERT and Cakes is back on Saturday, February 17 at All Saints Church, Burton-in-Lonsdale with the MalletSquared percussion duo.
The Chris Rowland International Chamber Music prize-winning duo- represents the very best at the Royal Northern College of Music and was founded in 2022 by students Harriet Kwong and Jason Wong.
Concert-goers can expect marimba, timpani, xylophone, cymbals, triangle, snare drum, bass drum, tambourine, maracas, gongs and many others - all coming to Burton in a big van from Manchester - from these innovative student friends. The music will include 'Flight of the Bumblebee' and 'Alborada del gracioso' by Maurice Ravel.
The concert on February 17 will start at 2.30pm and will be followed by the delicious home made cakes of Burton-in-Lonsdale’s best bakers. Free admission, no ticket required, retiring collection.
