EMERGENCY services were called to Gargrave on Saturday morning following reports of a person on the tracks.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "We were called to Gargrave station shortly after 10am on Saturday, February 3 following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
