A SKIPTON man is to stand trial after denying charges of driving while disqualified and driving without due care and attention.

Jamie Carroll, 31, is charged with driving an unregistered motorcycle on the junction between North Parade and Cawder Green in Skipton on July 7 last year while being disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence.

He is also charged with driving the motorcycle without due care and attention on the same day and place, of using it without insurance, and without protective headgear.

Carroll also faces a charge of failing to stop after an accident at the same time where damage was caused to a Mercedes A35.

Carroll, of Roughaw Road, appeared at Skipton Magistrates Court on Friday when he pleaded not guilty to all charges. His trial is due to be held at Harrogate Justice Centre on April 18.
