A SERIES of arts and crafts workshops is being staged in Haworth.

The events are being held by Haworth & Yorkshire Creatives, which welcomes contact from more artisan businesses interested in showcasing their goods and skills.

"We are very excited to announce this new arts and crafts workshop programme," said a spokesperson.

"It is a creative platform for local talent – artists, designers, makers and crafters; a perfect opportunity for stallholders to host sessions at pop-up workshops and enjoy an interactive experience surrounded by like-minded individuals."

The first event in the series takes place at the Old School Room on Saturday, April 13, and Sunday, April 14, from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free.

A wide range of businesses will be represented.

Cherry Tree Glass Studio is selling handcrafted items and offering half-hour workshops where people will be able to make their own glass hot air balloons. The workshops are for over-18s only, and cost £25. Book by emailing ctglassstudio@gmail.com, or call in on the day.

Blossomdale Studio will be offering macrame goods, and staging hour-long workshops for visitors to try their hand at making them. The workshops are also for over-18s, and cost £20. Email contact.blossomdale@gmail.com or drop in on the day.

In addition to the workshops, the venue will host the monthly makers' market featuring items for sale including landscape and abstract art, metal signs, wooden bird boxes, hand-stitched crafts, plant terrariums, signed books and Bronte-inspired goods.

Regulars will be present, including The Rusted Kingdom, Withens Art by Pippa Marshall, Stitch In Time, HD Abstract Art, Eco Beez, and Black Craft by CK hosted by Bronte Bitch.

And they will be joined by a number of newcomers.

Amica Terrae will have a range of plastic-free gifts and handcrafted cards, Bradford author Steven Burton will be signing copies of his horror and fantasy books, crafter HopingSew will sell items ranging from handmade quilts and fabric flowers to tweed bookmarks, and Midnight Hemming – a textile artist, fibre processor and designer – will be selling fibre packs.
