OFFICERS are mourning the loss of a much-loved police horse after his sudden death.
Police officers in the Mounted Section of West Yorkshire Police are mourning the loss of Police Horse Balmoral, who died after a sudden bout of colic.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "With a heavy heart we share the sad news that Police Horse Balmoral, a cherished member of our Mounted Section, passed away peacefully last week after a sudden bout of colic.
"His presence brought joy to our yard."
