A DRIVER stopped in Bradley by police was more than twice the drink-drive limit, a court heard.
Matthew Norton, 30, was stopped on April 5 on the A629 by police who had received information that he had been drinking before driving, heard Skipton Magistrates Court yesterday (Friday).
He was found to have 86 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Norton, of Temple Street, Keighley, and of previous good character, admitted drink driving and told the court he had 'vowed to never drink again'.
In mitigation, Mohammed Hussain said Norton had co-operated with police, had pleaded guilty at the first opportunity, and was employed.
He was banned from driving for 20 months, fined £350 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a surcharge of £140. If he completes a drink-drivers rehabilitation course, his ban will be reduced by 20 weeks.
