A HAYSTACK caught fire in an agricultural building at Bank Newton near Gargrave.
Fire service services crew from both Skipton and Barnoldswick were called to the Bank Newton fire at 2.45pm on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for the North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Skipton and neighbouring brigade appliance Barnoldswick responded to reports of a straw heap on fire close to an agricultural building.
"The haystack measuring 30m x 10m was extinguished by crews using three large jets and breathing apparatus."
The North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were also called to another incident in Craven on Wednesday afternoon.
Crews from Settle responded to concerns of a hazardous smell inside a residential premises at 4.07pm on Roughaw Close in Skipton.
The investigation is still being carried out by crews.
